Self Referral
Most referrals to other specialists will require you seeing or speaking with a GP. However, there are a number of local services, listed below, that you are able to make self referrals to.
Community Musculoskeletal Service
The Sutton community musculoskeletal service is open to all referrals. The MSK service is continuing to encourage self-management of your condition at home prior to seeking a physiotherapy referral. To help you do this there is an online resource where you can find advice and exercises.You can contact the community musculoskeletal service by calling between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday.

Sutton Crisis Cafe
The Sutton Crisis Café offers out-of-hours support to adults in Sutton whose mental health is becoming overwhelming. We provide a safe, non-clinical, supportive environment to people experiencing a mild to moderate mental health crisis, as an alternative to attending A&E We are open from 6:30pm to 11pm (last admission 10.30), 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Please complete the online questionnaire. At the end of the questionnaire there is a tab to submit the form direct to the hospital. The referral is then processed by the hospital and you will be invited for an appointment. Learning Disability Support
If you have: a learning disability and are registered with a Sutton GP and are over 18 years of age (or you're a carer or relative of someone with a learning disability) you can ask for help from our specialist services: Psychological Service - to improve your mental wellbeing, Specialist Health and Nursing Service - to improve your health, Occupational Therapy Service - to be as independent as possible, Speech and Language Therapy Service - to improve your communication, Physiotherapy Service.
Inspire Drug and Alcohol Service for Sutton
Inspire is a community drug and alcohol service for anyone over the age of 18 living in the London Borough of Sutton. You can refer yourself or be referred by your GP, housing provider, probation and other professionals. They also run a service for under 18’s called Switch Sutton.

South West London Termination of Pregnancy Services. You do not need a referral to access these free abortion services, you can contact them yourself. The South West London Central Booking Service is the first point of contact. They can provide advice, discuss your options with you, and arrange an appointment with you for consultation or treatment.

Find a psychological therapies service in England
You can refer yourself directly to a psychological therapies service (IAPT) without seeing your GP.
These services offer therapies, such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), for common problems including: stress, anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and phobias
